Waminda (South Coast Women’s Health & Welfare Aboriginal Corporation) raises the health, wellbeing and spiritual status of women and their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families on the South Coast of New South Wales by providing a unique women’s centred approach to primary health care. Waminda exists to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have a voice, are respected and are treated with dignity by all of community.

Waminda’s Social Enterprise Initiative

Startup Grant Round

Supported with $23,000 to strengthen the financial sustainability of Waminda while developing the skills and confidence of Aboriginal women to secure employment, through the implementation of a business plan for three social enterprises.

Building a Culturally Safe Not for Profit Sector

Round 1

Supported with $28,000 to build a culturally safe NFP sector in the Shoalhaven through enhancing the capacity of Waminda to deliver their Cultural Immersion Program as a sustainable social enterprise.
