IRCF FUNDED Projects

Nambucca Valley Newsletter

Round 1

Supported with $4,030.13 to promote community connectivity and reduce social inclusion by supporting a local Nambucca print newsletter.

The organisation reflects on the impact of the project:

“Without the funding we would not have been able to produce the newsletter.
Our centre faced a tough time, surviving falling membership, repairs, maintenance issues and of course the floods, fires and the pandemic.
The newsletter has lifted our profile and connection to the community, bringing in new members and volunteers and increasing community use of our hall.
The most positive thing has been the appreciation of the community for a publication which informs and engages. We often hear that readers feel connected to the local content and authors.
The funding has given the community a source of information not driven by commercial need.”
