Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn Parish of Moruya
St. Johns Commons is a community centre, hosted by the Anglican Parish of Moruya since 2010. The Commons is located in Moruya on a parcel of land which contains several buildings available for community use. The Commons has been operating as a community hub for over ten years and is currently home to a number of organisations. The Red Door Hall is also a designated bushfire and heatwave haven. The Commons includes the Moruya Micro-Forest (through The Climate Factory) and a full-size labyrinth. St John’s Commons is a place of intentional collaborative community engagement for the common good. The Commons is about encouraging integrative living, wholeness, justice, wisdom, truth telling and creativity. In a fragmented world we recognise the need for coherence and cooperation between diverse groups of people. The Commons holds diversity in a spirit of inclusion for social healing.
