The Family Place is a community based not for profit that offers holistic and evidenced based support to the region’s families through a range of free programs and services. These include community projects, group programs for parents and carers, financial counselling and individual support for families.

Startup Grant Round
Supported with $40,758 to drive innovation in service delivery, strengthen governance and invest in leadership for The Family Place through the appointment of a consultant to guide strategic planning for the future while acknowledging trauma and providing space to heal after the fires.
Managing Growth in Recovery
Round 1
Supported with $20,000 to appoint a part-time resource to support fundraising, compliance and governance enhancements needed by the Family Place to respond to rapidly escalating demands from vulnerable families.
Scoping Housing Solutions – community creating a better future
Round 2
Supported with $26,208 to stimulate innovative thinking focussed on housing solutions by engaging a project officer to develop and cost models to enable clients and broader community to sustain tenancy and support sector wide collaboration.
