Toolbox Grant Awarded for Feasibility Study Part A

Junee Community Centre received a $27,490 grant through Toolbox Funding to explore the feasibility of a physical community hub to provide a safe, non-triggering neutral space for persons, groups, organisations and service providers to meet.

The project will provide external support to facilitate a Think Tank ensuring that all community voices are heard, and ideas incorporated. An external facilitator will refine information from the think tank, developing a scope to inform the feasibility study. Through community consultation, Junee Community Centre has emerged as the project lead and logical choice for a Hub.

The grant will also engage a consultant to conduct a Feasibility Study following the Think Tank. This study will consider the business model financing, revenue modelling, resourcing and staff allocation.

The learnings from this project will identify and and clarify the purpose of the Community Hub, analysis of current and future service needs, and the potential community impact of establishing a community hub.

What is the Toolbox of Support?

Toolbox Grants are only available to previously funded applicants to the IRCF program that are looking to lead a project that supports multiple organisations working on common capacity issues.  Funding is available through a simple rapid response grant process to respond to shared capacity issues that are present throughout the program and need to be acted on in a timely manner. You can explore the Toolbox Guidelines to see if your project can be supported through this mechanism.
