Regenerate – Australian Rural Leadership Foundation Program

Marissa, Chani and Carolyn from ARLF, Bega Valley Shire Council and FRRR Respectively.

Our recent co-design workshop focused on answering the question How do we harness this opportunity to build on what is already happening?, this day triggered interest around the leadership  training opportunity in the Bega Valley. Marissa from the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation (ARLF) joined us to connect with community, listen and learn and to gather themes to contribute to program design.

There was a lot of interest in how the Investing in Rural Community Futures – Bega Resilience, Connection & Place project will be providing leadership and skill building opportunity in the Bega Valley.

The ARLF as a partner will be delivering the Regenerate program. This program is fully funded for 24 local leaders with connection to the not-for-profit sector in the Bega Valley to come together, restore, build networks and activate initiatives.

The program is a first-class leadership opportunity.  Regenerate is an eight-day leadership and resilience program, supported over twelve months, with workshops, site visits and tackling a local project to work on together.

The intended outcomes are: Improved capacity and capability among participants to support the Bega Valley’s economic and social wellbeing, especially through future challenges; Enhanced community and business engagement, particularly with issues of resilience; Increased resilience and adaptability of the Bega Valley.

The training will be delivered in 2023. There will be an application process and more information on the opportunity  and how to apply will be coming out in the near future.
