New Nowra Facilitator Appointed

Hi, I am Meg Stratti, your local community facilitator. I have lived in the Shoalhaven for the last 10 years working to support local communities through my roles in adult education. I am passionate about building stronger and more resilient communities.

My role is to support Nowra and Kangaroo Valley’s not-for-profit organisations (NFPs) to connect, build relationships and work together on improving your capacity and sustainability. The vision of the Investing in Rural Community Futures program, with the financial support of The Snow Foundation, is to deliver stronger organisations for stronger Nowra and Kangaroo Valley communities.

I am here to help locally governed NFPs to apply for funds from the program, to support funded organisations to adapt and deliver their granted projects, to coordinate the evaluation of the impacts of the program on NFP capacity and to ensure that the Nowra and Kangaroo Valley Community Roadmap is regularly revisited and updated so that it always reflects local priorities and plans. I’m also here to identify and connect Nowra and Kangaroo Valley NFPs to additional services and supports that could help to sustainably fund and operate Nowra and Kangaroo Valley’s organisations.
