Expressions of Interest to Participate in IRCF
The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) and the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF) recognise the fundamental roles that not-for-profit (NFP) organisations play in building and sustaining the social and economic fabric in their communities. The desired outcome of the Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) program is to help empower and support the capacity of the NFP sector and thereby support a strong and vibrant future for their communities.
The IRCF program will work with three rural communities offering a variety of support including but not limited to:
- access to grant funding and resources;
- planning and facilitation support;
- skills development and training; and
- knowledge and experience sharing.
The communities of Tumut, Leeton, Junee, Nambucca Heads, and Moree were shortlisted as part of this process. Each community received $60,000 in Start-Up grants to support a range of organisational capacity building projects.
FRRR then invited the five communities to participate in an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. Expressions of interest closed 28 October 2019, from which FRRR selected three communities to go forward with the IRCF program.
Following the EOI process, the communities of Leeton, Junee, Nambucca Heads were selected to progress with the IRCF program.
