Toolbox Grant for Leeton Connect

Leeton Connect received $24,954 through the Toolbox Grant mechanism to connect and upskilling the Leeton NFP sector with expert volunteer and grant writing workshops.

Leeton Connect empowers community members and aid in driving the vibrant NFP sector. Leeton Connect has previously run very successful networking breakfasts focusing on grants and networking. Through this Toolbox Grant, Leeton Connect will deliver four breakfasts – two focused on grant consultation and two for networking purposes – throughout 2023.

These breakfasts will continue to make connection between community and Leeton Connect and further between community groups and their members, while developing transferrable skills-based workshops, for organizational sustainability. In offering a multifaceted training to local NFPs, Leeton Connect seeks to both prepare participants for effective leadership roles and the eventual conclusion of IRCF program. Grant Writing workshops will strengthen capacity and fill the skills gaps to obtain grant funding.

Leadership development and mentorship themes in the Volunteer Workshops will enhance knowledge on attracting, recruiting, retaining and succession of volunteers. They will equally provide skills for succession planning of volunteers and craft volunteer strategies.

Grant Consultation and Networking Breakfasts encourage connections while having the opportunity to align projects collaboratively to benefit multiple organisations. This effectively reduces duplication and optimizes benefits to the whole community.

Developing digital literacy in managing Social Media and Canva training sessions will aid local organisations and individuals improve their digital media presence and to enable them to transfer these learned skills to others.

What is the Toolbox of Support?

Toolbox Grants are only available to previously funded applicants to the IRCF program that are looking to lead a project that supports multiple organisations working on common capacity issues.  Funding is available through a simple rapid response grant process to respond to shared capacity issues that are present throughout the program and need to be acted on in a timely manner. You can explore the Toolbox Guidelines to see if your project can be supported through this mechanism.
